After years of travelling in France, we found ourselves drawn to the Dordogne: its stone villages, countryside and everyday pleasures. In Marsalès, near Monpazier, we found the house that became Maison Sérénité.
We spent three years restoring it ourselves, travelling from the UK for two-week working visits during most months. We wanted to preserve its character while making it comfortable for family holidays and time with friends.
That connection continues. We prepare and maintain the house personally, and we’re here to help you decide whether it is the right place for your stay.

The house offers approximately 200 m², 4 bedrooms and a separate sofa-bed room for up to 10 guests. Your group has exclusive use of the house, garden and private seasonal pool.
We’re happy to talk through the room layout and your mobility needs, so you can decide whether the house is right for your stay.
The house has entrance steps and three floors connected by stairs, so it is not wheelchair accessible.

Monpazier is nearby; rural roads, daylight, weather and your group’s needs matter when deciding whether to walk or cycle.

Are you the owners?
Yes. We are Tony and Niki, the owners and hosts of Maison Sérénité. We restored the house ourselves and continue to prepare and care for it personally.
Will the house suit two families?
The three double bedrooms and one twin bedroom sleep eight in conventional beds. A separate sofa-bed room accommodates two more. Tell us about your group and we can help you think through the layout.
Will the house suit our mobility needs?
Tell us what would make your stay comfortable. Tony and Niki are happy to talk through the layout and your mobility needs before you book. The house has entrance steps and three floors connected by stairs, so it is not wheelchair accessible.
Can you provide a cot and high chair?
Yes, on request. Please let us know before arrival so we can prepare them for your stay.
Can you recommend places nearby?
Yes. We can help with ideas for markets, restaurants, villages and days out. Our Dordogne guide is a useful place to start.
Where can I get a quote?

Does contacting you reserve dates?
No. An enquiry does not reserve the house. Booking requests are subject to owner acceptance.
How do we receive arrival instructions?
We send the property-specific entrance, parking and key information privately shortly before your stay.
