Your name and contact details; dates, guest numbers and relevant ages; messages and stay requests; booking, transaction and payment-status records. We also keep information needed for legal, tax, safety, insurance or dispute purposes.

Please share only what we need to help with your enquiry. You do not need to send payment-card details, identity documents or sensitive health information to ask about the house.

Bookings through other platforms

If you enquire or book through Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo or another platform, we receive the details it shares to manage your stay. That platform’s separate use of your information is covered by its own notice.

What is required?

Contact and booking details are needed to provide a quote, arrange a stay and meet legal obligations. Without required details, we may be unable to accept or manage a booking. Children’s details are limited to what is needed for occupancy, pricing, tourist tax and stay administration.

• To answer enquiries and arrange a stay: steps you request before a contract, and performance of the rental agreement.
• To meet legal obligations: applicable accounting, tax and other required records.
• To protect the property and manage problems: legitimate interests in security, fraud prevention, handling complaints and legal claims, balanced against your rights.
• Where consent is required: we ask first, and you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Tony and Niki, and providers who need the information for your enquiry or stay. These include Cloudflare for secure website and booking-data services; Google Workspace for email; our bank for transfers; the relevant external platform when you book through it; authorised property helpers, professional advisers and insurers where needed; and authorities where legally required or permitted.

We limit the information shared to the purpose. Choosing WhatsApp, social media or a booking platform also involves that service’s own processing.

Payment information

Online card details are handled by the payment provider through the booking system. We receive the transaction information needed to administer your stay, rather than ordinarily receiving or storing your full card number.

This website uses Google Analytics only after you choose “Accept analytics”. Before consent, no Google Analytics code or consent ping is loaded. If your browser permits it, your choice is saved on your device for six months and can be changed through Cookie preferences at the bottom of any page. We do not use advertising trackers. Photographs and fonts load from the site itself.

Booking, WhatsApp, social-media and external map services open only when you follow their links. Their pages may use cookies and process technical information under their own arrangements. Those choices are separate from browsing this site.

The walking guide also offers an optional interactive map. Only after you select “Open interactive map”, base-map images load directly from OpenStreetMap, whose provider receives your IP address and ordinary browser request information. It does not request your device’s location or save a map preference. Closing the map stops further map loading. OpenStreetMap Foundation privacy policy. Route descriptions and GPX links remain available without loading this map.

The tourist-tax calculator works within your page: its entries are not sent or saved. The weather forecast loads only when you request it, through our website using the fixed Monpazier location. It does not request your device’s location.

Cloudflare hosts and protects this website and can process technical delivery and security records, including IP address, request time, requested address and browser information. Google Analytics processes the limited page-view and contact-choice information described here only after consent. We configure analytics without advertising signals, personalisation, user IDs, form values or full external referrer addresses.

Our published retention approach is:

• Enquiries that do not become bookings: normally up to 12 months after the last meaningful contact.
• Routine guest correspondence: normally up to three years after the stay.
• Booking, payment, accounting and tax records: for the applicable legal period; some accounting records may need to be kept for ten years.

We keep relevant records longer when needed for a complaint, insurance matter, legal claim or specific legal obligation. The analytics consent choice lasts up to six months. Google Analytics event data is retained for two months and user data for fourteen months. Cloudflare technical records follow the service controls and retention periods applicable to our account.

Owners and service providers may handle information in the United Kingdom or other countries outside the European Economic Area. Applicable safeguards can include recognised adequacy arrangements or approved contractual clauses.

Contact us for information about the providers and safeguards relevant to your booking, including how to obtain a copy. Cloudflare provides website delivery and the owner-controlled booking-data service; consented analytics uses Google; booking correspondence uses Google Workspace; and direct payments use bank transfer. Bookings made through an external platform remain processed by that platform. Their current privacy information describes the locations and safeguards used for their services.

We limit access to people and services that need your information, and use established booking and payment services. We take reasonable organisational and technical measures to protect records; no online system can guarantee absolute security.

Booking decisions

We do not make decisions about guests based solely on automated processing with legal or similarly significant effects. A booking request is subject to owner acceptance.
